Dražice nad jizerou

Formerly separate village 3, 5 km northeast of Benátky nad Jizerou, but today its city part.

Its dominant feature is the ruins of Dražice castle from the 2nd half of the 13th century, which was in the 14th century, in the times of the Bishop John IV. from Dražice, rebuilt by French masters according to the Famous French Gothic palaces. Today, a torso of a former tower chapel (and later converted into a granary) dominates the castle ruins. In a park, above the castle on the road to Zdětín, is hidden the valuable gothic church of Saint Martin, the building without tower and with Baroque facade has been recently reconstructed.
